Best tasting pancakes in the world. Could use a refresh inside and out. Stil good food!
Great food, family friendly, staff were welcoming and kind.
Great OLD SCHOOL NJ Diner. A classic. Been there for approx 80-90 years!!!Still has that old school interior. has the old school Counter, tables by the window and it’s easy to find- located right on Rt 17 Free parking. Even has big-rig truck parking!!!Food is YUMMY- big portions and cooked to order. Burgers and cheesesteak were EXCELLENT!! Service was good tooA great place!!!!
I've wanted to visit the Bendix Diner since I first drove by it years ago. We finally got there tonight. It was exactly as I'd hoped it would be. I got a hot open turkey sandwich, with gravy on everything. It was great. The meal was so hot coming out that it stayed hot during the time I ate it. All of our menu items were superb. If you've lived in New Jersey for a decent part of your life, you have an appreciation for good diners. This one is one of the BEST!
Good breakfast, best in the region so far. Service was fantastic and it may not look like much but will be there soon
Great food and friendly service. Don't let the dated decor influence you.
Came here for a music video shoot, and it was great! Only really got fries and sodas, but they were hot and delicious fries and they were super cheap too!!! The diner has a very nice vintage feel to it. I'd go back if I was in the area!
This is a true vintage diner. Even the stuff that should be replaced hasn't been - so when you come here, don't expect something that's been modernized throughout the years. It can be polarizing - some might look at the old napkin holders, ripped seats, and (apparent) lack of A/C as a bad thing, but I think it just adds to the place's authenticity.Over 60 years ago, my grandfather ate here. He passed before I was born but he was a long-haul trucker. Sitting here, I could almost see him sitting at a booth having a meal. The food is good, the prices are reasonable, and the staff is friendly. But, come here knowing what I've written above, and I think you'll find yourself taking a pleasant trip into the past just as I did.
Classic diner! Excellent food and service.
I'm just afraid, one of these days, we will lose this so highly well located landmark!!!
Great food, amazing service. John was very fun to talk with and I didn't particularly want to leave as soon as I did.
The best breakfast cooked on the griddle by Julio.Julio absolutely makes and presents the best breakfast However after 31 years Julio will be leaving the Bendix Diner August 16. Best of luck to you Julio. Eva the owner and your dedicated customers are sure to miss you. Best of luck
Unbelievably personable and friendly staff. Good food and great atmosphere.
It's not bad they give you a lot of food. I dont like that 7 mozzarella sticks are $9.00 that's crazy other than that it was ok. Oh and my fiance food wasn't cooked fully she hates to see pink in meat.
Very friendly and accommodating staff, reasonable prices! Historic venue, though past it's prime... Hoping for a phoenixlike re-birth!
Love a family owned business. The food was great would have given it 5 stars but the owner turned the news on and gave everyone his view on politics which i dont agree with, it is a business not his livingroom and few of us became uncomfortable. Place has not changed in years and service was very pleasant otherwise. Also Sriricha ketchup where have you been all my life.
The floors were sticky, the entire place needed cleaning, the service was slow and one couple walked out before they could order. The air vents are full of dirt and the whole place needs an entire upgrade. But on the other hand the French toast was amazing!!
Not only is this place a landmark. The food and drinks are great. Friendly staff. Clean I'll def be coming back!
Good food, friendly service. Parking a little weird. But I'd go back again.
I truly love this place. The staff is so friendly. Every one is like family.
Doesn't look very clean on the outside. The food is overpriced our bill was around $32.00 for a hamburger deluxe and French toast and eggs and 2 drinks. The food was good but not really worth the prices, the pickles were great. The soda was flat. Halfway thru my burger my I noticed it was too pink for my satisfaction. But it's ok.
Got a turkey club with Swiss was very good and very well made and the fries were really crisp
Amazing old-school jersey diner that has tons of charm. A perfectly sized (6 not 20 page) menu and a friendly staff to boot. I had the western omelette and friend had the open face turkey sandwich. We both cleaned our plates. Food was cooked fresh and the coffee did the job. 👍☕ we go to allot of diners and this one is a cut above.
What a great spot to stop. The food is good and in huge portions ... but the best part are all of the characters that hangout there. Sit in a booth by the counter for the optimal experience.
Great old school diner, nice family run place
I it was good and the service was excellent and very friendly and nice people
Great old school diner. Nothing fancy but the food was good!
I already wrote a review about how bad this diner was and it got deleted somehow. But I guess I'll rewrite it. The food and service was pretty good but the diner itself is incredibly filthy. One of those situations where the outside matches the inside. I moved the 1950s napkin dispenser and found old food dried and crusted to the table.
Old fashion diner with great food and service!!
Best Turkey club sandwich and the cook is hilarious good Wait staff
they were extremely racist to my family and very rude such a bad place! crazy cant believe people treat customers like that!
Cozy old diner, the staff was very friendly. The coffee was fresh and good.
Classic old school Jersey diner. Good food. Great service. Classic old school looks.
People were friendly. Food good. Decore needs repairs.
I dont mind that its old looking, I mind that its not clean. The windows need to be cleaned, the stuff on the tables need to be bought new, the floor has to be washed, the plants need to be thrown out cause they are half dead. I lived the food and the people, and the coffee is amazing!! But, if you cleaned up the place, painted a little, spruced it up a bit, you would have 10 times the business there. Close up one day and clean up the whole place. Go to the dollar store and puck out nice things. I promise you, your business would thrive. It looks a dive now, but with a little soap and imagination, you would double your clientele. Think about it. We like to eat good food, but we like nice surroundings also. Try it.
Enjoyed my breakfast here, the place was very busy. I must say the blueberry pancakes were the best! The the look of the place seams untouched from the time it was built but clean inside. The service was good and servers were very nice. I will go back and try more of the food at this old mom and pop Diner for the like home food cooking.
Good food and a super sweet owner; I highly recommend the bacon cheeseburger. This place looked like it was biult in the 30s and 40s and probably looks the same as it has since the very early 50s. The only downside was the need for some deep cleaning and sprucing up.
All I have to say is don't judge a book from its cover. I pass this place all the time and love the old world charm. I was very fortunate to meet the owner John and his sons. It is nice to see young kids helping with the family business. Food was very good and the company was great. The owner is a stand up guy and a new friend.
Great food especially the healthy omelette. Very nice service especially the Greek lady she treats you like a family
Great diner. Do not let the appearance fool you.
Awesome good food friendly service HUGE portions
We loved the bacon omlete with rye toast
Kind and delicious and nice price.
Awesome food. Portions so big you can eat for 2 days. Chris and his family are great people. Definitely a great place to eat.
If you're from out of town you want to go for great comfort food friendly service the best chef there in the company of the regulars Hometown people the locals we enjoyed ourselves thanks again for the entertainment we enjoyed ourselves the Griffen family from upstate New York
Great place for eat .... Great fresh food ... family atmosphere place I can compare this place for Tops Dinner or Toast At the Montclair... Is a great place
So delicious!!! $$$ for 4 people breakfast $65 but so worth it
Amazing atmosphere and food and one of the "don't miss" diners in the Hasbrouck Heights, NJ area.
The place unfortunately needs to be remodel to be able to give the staff the chance to keep up with the times and sanitation.
Attentive service, good choices on the menu and it is a clean and convenient place to eat. I recommend the omelettes
